Some 65HT2U LCD TV’s may exhibit areas of inconsistent brightness levels visible only on dark scenes or backgrounds.

This occurrence may easily be remedied by simply following the procedure described below:

*This video is for demonstration purposes and only shows the wiping of the problem area. For best results we recommend wiping the entire screen.

Display a dark screen by selecting a non-connected TV input or use the source that displays the blotchy or cloudy picture.

*To select a non-connected input press the Input key on the TV remote and select an input with no device connection.

Using a CLEAN, DRY 100% cotton cloth press firmly on the TV screen and apply an up and down wiping motion. Start at one side of the screen and move to the opposite side wiping from top to the bottom, bottom to top.  Click to watch a short video demonstration...

Repeat the previous step as required until the identified brightness spot is removed. 

Press the Input key on the TV remote and select the input you wish to watch.

 NOTES:

• Use a CLEAN, DRY 100% cotton cloth. If a 100% clean cotton cloth is not available make sure it is a non-abrasive material that will not scratch the TV display.
• If TV is on the stand, support the back of the set to minimize movement.
• Any excessive movement or the transporting of this LCD TV may create a reoccurrence of the above issue.  Simply repeat the procedure to remove the blotchy or cloudy picture.
• DO NOT USE ANY WATER, LIQUIDS, CLEANING CHEMICALS OR CLEANING AGENTS ON THE LCD SCREEN.
