How do I locate the serial number on my THRiVE?
Inside the covered port area you will find a sticker with the Serial number on it.
If there is not a sticker, go to Settings, About tablet, System information, Serial number.How do I locate the model number on my THRiVE?
Go to Settings, About tablet, System information, Product Name.I forgot/lost my THRiVE password to unlock the tablet, what do I do?
If you have lost or forgotten your THRiVE password and the tablet is locked, CLICK HERE for the procedure to reset and unlock the tablet.
How do I change the brightness level for the screen?
Steps to change the brightness level:
1. Go Settings, Screen, Brightness.
2. Remove the checkmark from the Automatic brightness box.
3. Adjust the slider to the desired level of brightness.Why is my Wi-Fi turned off after the screen has gone blank?
The system is configured to do so by the Wi-Fi disconnect policy settings.
Steps to change the Wi-Fi disconnect policy settings:
Go to Settings, Wireless & networks, Wi-Fi disconnect policy.
The available choices are:
- When screen turns off.
- Never when plugged in.
- Never (uses more battery power).How do I adjust the time it takes for the screen to shut off?
Go to Settings, Screen, Timeout, and chose the preferred timeout setting.How do I remove a widget from one of the Home screens?
Tap and hold the icon. Drag the icon the trash can in the upper right hand corner of the screen.How do I remove a downloaded application?
Go to Settings, Applications, Manage applications, Downloaded. Select the application to permanently remove and select Uninstall.How do I remove pre-installed applications?

Initially the HDD will have to be formatted with exFAT. Shortly after launch we expect an OTA (Over The Air) update to allow external

You should find the Register icon on the R1 Home screen (the Home screen directly to the right of the Central Home screen) or at www.register.toshiba.comHow to I check to make sure my screen orientation feature is working properly?
There are two places to check the screen orientation feature:
1. Check the physical lock. The lock button is located to the right of the On/Off button and the volume controls.
If the RED bar is showing, the lock is On (disabling auto-rotate). If the RED bar is NOT showing, the lock is Off.
2. Check the virtual screen lock. Go to Settings, Screen, Auto-rotate screen. Take the checkmark out of the box to disable auto-rotate screen functionality.Can I unplug SD card or USB storage devices “hot” (while they are running or “unmounted”)?
Removing any data storage device without first shutting down or “unmounting” the device is NOT recommended
Steps to unmount the device:
1. Go to Settings, Storage, External storage.
2. Select the External storage device to unmount. The device can now be removed..Can I use a USB or BT mouse or a keyboard with the THRiVE?
Yes, however not all mice or keyboards will work.
Currently, we have not identified mice or keyboards as accessories but look to ToshibaDirect to have THRiVE specific input accessories soon.What capacity SD cards can be used with the THRiVE?
The THRiVE will recognize most SD cards up to 4GB, SDHC up to 32GB and SDXC up to 64GB.How do I connect a Bluetooth device to the THRiVE?
Steps to connect BT device:
1. Go to Settings, Wireless & networks, Bluetooth (By selecting Bluetooth you turn the feature on).
2. Select: Bluetooth settings.
4. Select: Find nearby devices.
5. Select: Scan for devices.
6. Put the Bluetooth device into a discoverable mode, this may include powering on and off the device or pressing a button. Consult documentation for the device.
7. Once the device is found, select it from the list of devices. You may be prompted to enter a PIN or passcode. Many devices require either 0000 or 1234 to be entered by default. Consult the documentation for the device.How can I replace the battery in my THRiVE?
