-
Yes. Your options for HD playback and record are: FHD which is Full HD at either 1080i or 1080p and HD which is 720p
-
A standard definition camcorder will give you attractive close-ups, faces for example but landscapes will look fuzzy and lacking in detail.
-
A high-definition (HD) camcorder will give you beautiful landscapes and attractive close-ups. Basically, the more panoramic your shot, the more high definition matters. Sports in high definition really show up well because you can read the names and numbers on the uniforms more clearly but an intimate drama with lots of close-ups might not look too much better in HD.
-
High Definition playback requires an HD capable monitor or TV with component video inputs or and HDMI input. If you are not sure if your TV has these features check the owners manual to confrim that it supports HD playback (and has either component video inputs or an HDMI input.)
-
Make sure your TV is set to the correct input mode (check the TV owners manual)
-
Turn off the camcorder
-
Connect the HDMI cable
-
Turn the camcorder back on
-
Most electronics stores generally carry HDMI cables. Toshiba recommends buying a quality "high speed" cable.
-
Disconnect and then reconnect the HDMI or USB cable. Your device will try and redetect the camcorder. If this fails you can try changing to another HDMI/USB cable
-
For US customers make sure the NTSC/PAL mode is set to NTSC
-
For PC's ensure the USB auto detection mode is set to "On"
-
Make sure the camcorder is turned on
-
Disconnect and reconnect the USB cable on both sides (camcorder and PC)
-
If this does not work, try:
-
Another USB port on the computer
-
Another USB cable
-
-
DV indicates the internal memory of the camcorder.
-
Removable Disk indicates the external memory (memory card installed in the camcorder).
-
DVAP shows the built-in CAMILEO UPLOADER application is saved at this disk. DO NOT format this disk or delete the application inside; otherwise, the CAMILEO UPLOADER application can not function.
-
All light has color temperature. Some light is cool and blue other light is warm and red or yellow. Our brains do a great job of "balancing" these different temperatures to minimize the impact to us visually. Unfortunately this does not occur in cameras (or camcorders in this case.) The camcorder records exactly what is sees. To compensate for the difference in light "quality" many cameras have a "white balance" feature that allows the camcorder to filter the light making the final picture appear normal.
-
Note: The Auto option allows you to let the camcorder attempt to balance the light on it's own. If you are unsure as to the type and quality of the light source available try using the "Auto" setting.
-
-
Select the proper White Balance to match the lighting csource.
-
Make sure the SD card isnt full. If so, delete some files or download to a storage device or computer and format SD card.
-
Make sure there is an SD card in the camcorder
-
Try ejecting and then gently reinserting the SD card
-
Try a new SD card
-
The lens may be dirty
-
Use a lens cleaning cloth or lens cleaning kit to clean the lens
-
If the camcorder is in Macro mode, change it to normal mode
-
-
The camcorder uses a FAT32 files system. This file system has a maximum file size of 4GB. The video quality level selected along with the resolution capability of the camcorder will determine how long it will take for the file being created to reach the 4GB file limit. Just before the 4GB limit is reached he camcorder will stop recording and close the file. Here is a table that describes the length of time it will take to reach the 4GB limit depending on the settings selected:
Video Recording Mode
Duration of 4GB file
VGA
240 minutes
WVGA
100 minutes
HD (720p @ 30fps)
120 minutes
HD (720p @ 60fps)
40 minutes
HD+ (1080p @ 30fps)
60 minutes
HD+ (1080i @ 60fps)
40 minutes
-
Set the ISO to 1600/3200
-
Turn on the Digital Light
-
Motion Detection, Face Tracking, Slow Motion, Time Lapse, and Smile Detection cannot be used during 3D recording.
-
WARNING: Resetting the camcorder to its factory default settings will erase all user settings. To reset the camcoder to factory default settings follow these steps:

Power on the camcorder
-
Select the "Settings" icon
-
Select the page down icon
-
Select "Default Settings"
-
Select "Yes"
-

-
The most likely cause is that the battery power is low
-
Charge the battery
-
-
The "!" means the SC card is low speed or has incompatible content. To solve this problem format the SD card using the camcorder instead of the PC (refer to the formatting instructions in section 5 of the Owner's manual.
-
WARNING: All data will be lost when the card is formatted!
-
In Flash Auto mode the camcorder only fires the flash when necessary, e.g. in the dark.
-
The camcorder lengthens the picture exposure time under low light/indoor conditions. Keep the camcorder and the target subject steady for several seconds when taking pictures. The shutter will sound when the pictures are being taken.
-
Refer to the Remote control instructions posted on the //support.toshiba.com website
-
Make sure that your computer’s operation system is compatible with the CAMILEO AIR10 Connect application.
-
You can switch to the ArcSoft application that shipped with the camcorder. If you do not wish to use the ArcSoft application you can try changing the file extension on your videos from .avi to .mp4.
I am trying to view my files using Microsoft Media Player but I am not getting any audio. What can I do to solve this issue?-
Remove the FFDSHOW software and try again
-
NOTE: You may have issues using the ArcSoft application if the FDDSHOW software is removed
- The password configuration does not match the wireless you wish to connect to.
- The AP router or the computer is not turned on. Turn the wireless router or your computer on.
- The camcorder is not in the wireless network service area or has a weak network signal. Make sure the wireless router is able to access the Internet. Closed networks or networks that must be accessed through a webpage login screen are not supported.
- The camcorder does not support the type of encryption used on the wireless router. This model only supports WEP/WPA/WPA2 personal type of encryption, but not up to enterprise level.
- Your network requires PPPoE account/password information.
- Some wireless routers do not allow you to connect to the network (e.g. firewall).
-
Uploading files may take a few minutes depending on the size of the files and the wireless network signal strength. Either reduce the file size, increase the signal strength or try another wireless network.
