The Desktop External Hard Drive powers off and is no longer recognized by the computer until the computer is restarted.
- Resolution
Download the Toshiba Sleep Removal Tool v1.01 to remove the auto-sleep function of the Desktop External Hard Drive.Doing so will allow the Desktop External Hard Drive to be controlled by the computer's power management settings.
- Procedure
- Download the Toshiba sleep removal tool at http://download.toshiba.com/toshiba_sleep_removal_tool_v1.01.exe
- Connect the Desktop External Hard Drive to the computer and power it on
- Double-click on the Toshiba sleep removal tool and follow the on-screen instructions
- Download the Toshiba sleep removal tool at http://download.toshiba.com/toshiba_sleep_removal_tool_v1.01.exe
