Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc. (TAIS) and Toshiba of Canada Limited have released security updates to address vulnerabilities in Toshiba Service Station. Toshiba recommends that all affected users update their PC’s software as described below to address these security vulnerabilities.
Summary
Vulnerabilities potentially could allow an attacker to take unauthorized control of the affected PC. Consequently, potentially malicious programs may be installed or stored data may be revised or deleted.Affected software versions

Updating Service Station
To update the program select the following link and follow the instructions that will be displayed on your screen.
For USA: Please contact Toshiba at 1-800-457-7777 with any questions relating to this issue.
For Canada: Please contact Toshiba at 1-800-663-0378 with any questions relating to this issue.
- Procedure
Instructions (Also displayed after selecting the download link)
- Download and save the Toshiba Service Station file to a convenient location such as the Windows Desktop.
- Save all work in progress and close open applications.
- Double-click the downloaded file (TC00398200D.exe) to start the installation.
- Press the Start button at the Toshiba Archive Extractor window.
- Press Yes if a User Account Control message is displayed.
- If Toshiba Service Station 2.1.14 is applied successfully, the message below will be shown.
Windows 8.1
1. Open Start by swiping in from the lower-right edge of the screen then tap Start.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Access Uninstall or change a program in the Windows Control Panel.
4. If you do not see Toshiba Service Station in the list of programs, you do NOT need to proceed further.
Determining the version of Toshiba Service Station on your computer
Windows 81. Open Start by swiping in from the lower-right edge of the screen then tap Start.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Access Uninstall or change a program in the Windows Control Panel.
4. If you do not see Bluetooth Stack for Windows by Toshiba in the list of programs, you do NOT need to proceed further.
Windows 7
1. Access Uninstall or change a program in the Windows Control Panel.
2. If you do not see Bluetooth Stack for Windows by Toshiba in the list of programs, you do NOT need to proceed further.
Windows Vista
1. Access Uninstall or change a program in the Windows Control Panel.
2. If you do not see Bluetooth Stack for Windows by Toshiba in the list of programs, you do NOT need to proceed further.3. You can see the version # in the details window. (If you use Windows Vista, access the details window through the Organize, Layout and Details Pane.)
4. If you do not see the affected software in the list of programs, you do NOT need to proceed further.
Windows XP
1. Access Uninstall or change a program in the Windows Control Panel.
2. If you do not see Bluetooth Stack for Windows by Toshiba in the list of programs, you do NOT need to proceed further.3. You can see the version # in the details window. (If you use Windows XP, access the details window by typing Click here for support information)
